Bear E Sleepy came to be in 1990 when Jan E. Reese approached songwriters David and Bonnie Huntsinger with an idea for a new musical project. Jan’s idea was for a children’s product based on a cute “sleepy bear” and his friends that promote a healthy lifestyle through fun, adventure, and music. This idea resonated with David and Bonnie who had recently completed writing and arranging the 1990 Grammy Award winning A Child's Gift Of Lullabies. Eighteen months later, four Bear E Sleepy musical adventures had been completed. The Morning, Bath Time, Bedtime, and Sunday School adventures were immediate hits with 1000s of children, their parents, and grandparents.
